Industry Capability Network (ICN) is essentially innovative industry matchmaker introducing local companies to project managers. With both State & Federal Government support, our role is to find and connect the suppliers and service providers who are best equipped to meet the requirements of major projects planned and already under way across Australia and New Zealand, and around the world.
ICN in Queensland is a division of QMI Solutions Limited, a not-for-profit organisation supported by the Queensland State Government, whose aim is to proactively contribute to business and employment growth and foster innovation by identifying procurement opportunities to increase local industry access to major domestic and global projects and assist with showcasing and profiling Australian companies.Our principal office is in Brisbane and we have regional offices in Townsville, Gladstone and Toowoomba, and are part of the ICN national network throughout Australia and New Zealand.
The ICN team of specialist staff have a wide range of experience in Engineering, Technology and Procurement. This enables ICN to identify products, services and capabilities to assist our clients in the acquisition of goods and/or services to replace imports and retain opportunities for local industry. We have sector specialists in Oil and Gas, Rail, Water, NBN (National Broadband), Health, Clean Technologies who are available to assist industry development in these key areas.
Our core services are provided at no charge as our costs are subsidised by Government, and we also offer a range of value-adding consulting services on a competitive commercial basis. One of our services is the ICN Gateway – a connection point for all buyers and suppliers looking to build perfect partnerships throughout a range of sectors.
The benefits of the ICN Gateway is that suppliers can search all relevant projects and register their company’s interest with just a few easy steps. We search this information when a buyer approaches us looking for new products and services.
ICN Gateway can give buyers a glimpse of the comprehensive supplier information held by ICN. It holds more than 45,000 Australian and New Zealand companies and is complemented by our national network of technical consultants.
