Lifestyle

Lifestyle in the Surat Basin varies greatly – there is a choice to live in the city of Toowoomba in the east or a regional town like Roma to the west. In between are a range of towns to select from, all with their unique qualities and subtle differences.

Travelling west from Toowoomba, people pass through Dalby, Chinchilla and Miles to reach Roma. There are a number of smaller rural towns around each of these centres such as Bell, Jandowae, Warra, Drillham, Dulacca and Mitchell. To the south and north of the Warrego Highway people choose to live in Tara or Wandoan.

In the Western Downs Regional Council area alone there are twenty two different communities.
