On 31 August 2008, QRC, the Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ) and Queensland Government signed the Sustainable Resource Communities Partnership Agreement. This agreement, being rolled out across the Bowen and Surat basins and North-West Minerals Province, commits the parties to work in partnership to build and maintain prosperous regions, and sustainable, livable resource communities in Queensland.
