Support for Indigenous Apprentices and Trainees

The Queensland Government employs Indigenous Employment and Training Support Officers (IETSOs) to support and mentor Indigenous Apprentices and Trainees, helping them complete their training and stay in the workforce.

IETSOs are available to provide culturally appropriate, one-to-one mentoring, and can also help employers become more aware of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders cultural responsibilities and protocols.
